I love to\u00a0support independent\u00a0businesses. Alongside my Behind the Biz series<\/a>\u00a0I want to start highlighting some of my favourite British businesses.\u00a0I’m beginning\u00a0this series by\u00a0telling you about a rather delicious London based brand.<\/p>\n

A couple of months ago I shared this\u00a0beautiful tin\u00a0of Mothers’s Day biscuits<\/a> with you. They were created by the talented team over at Biscuiteers<\/a>. The business was\u00a0founded back in 2007 by\u00a0Harriet Hastings and her husband, Stevie Congdon. It started out online and then in 2012 they opened their first biscuit boutique\u00a0in\u00a0Notting Hill<\/a>. It’s filled with all of their collections (they also make cakes and chocolates<\/em>) and is home to the\u00a0Biscuiteers Icing School<\/a>. They offer 2 hour classes held by their icing experts, I hope I have the chance to go along one day.<\/p>\n

They opened up their second shop in December 2014 on\u00a0Northcote Road<\/a>. Not only can you check out their collections there but you can also buy your own icing equipment and enjoy Afternoon Tea with your friends.<\/p>\n

The Biscuiteers mission –\u00a0\u2018why send flowers when you can send biscuits instead?\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The biscuits are all handmade in\u00a0London and are then sent out to customers all over the\u00a0world. They have a very distinctive style and I can always spot when a brand, blogger or friend shares a snap of one of their latest collections. By the way, they call them ‘collections<\/em>‘ because they want\u00a0the biscuits to launch each season, like fashion collections. I love this idea and I think it helps to keep the brand fresh and up to date with current trends.<\/p>\n

They make biscuits for lots of weddings and parties, I really like the idea of iced place names! They also make bespoke biscuits for brands such as Mulberry, Boden and many others.<\/p>\n

You can find a full collection of biscuits reflecting their London heritage<\/a>\u00a0over on the website. There’s a Portobello Road Biscuit Box<\/a>, a London Biscuit Tin<\/a>\u00a0and of course, a selection of cupcakes and more.\u00a0I was kindly sent the\u00a0London biscuit tin<\/a> and\u00a0my family immediately popped the kettle on and were\u00a0very keen to open them up. The tin itself was a real beauty with lots of fun illustrations all over it. If you get your hands on one be sure to reuse it after.\u00a0The tin is filled with around 16 chocolate biscuits featuring all of your favourite London icons. My favourite biscuits were the black cabs and the red telephone boxes. You’ll also find a perfectly decorated London Bridge, the London Eye as well as various tube signs. This biscuit tin is a lot of fun and makes a fantastic gift for anyone who loves London or as a souvenir to take back from your travels.<\/p>\n

The only thing that was missing from the London tin was a pigeon! But then again, maybe I’m one of only a few people who likes pigeons.<\/p>\n

The London biscuit tin<\/a>\u00a0was a hit with my family. The chocolate biscuits are full of flavour and the icing has a satisfying snap to it. \u00a0I know I’m going to have to treat my grandma to these one day. She’s a Londoner living up north and I just know she’ll love them!<\/p>\n
