I\u2019m pretty consistent with my skincare routine. However, when the colder months set in I always realise that I need to start taking a little extra care of my hair. I use a lot of styling tools which can lead to dry and damaged hair, not really the look I\u2019m going for.<\/p>\n

This year The Body Shop have asked me to get involved with their online advent calendar. This is something I\u2019ve done over the years and it\u2019s always a lot of fun.<\/p>\n

It was my lucky day when they suggested that I try out some of their hair care treatments. I have my firm favourites from The Body Shop including the Hemp hand cream<\/a>, the Oils of Life Facial Oil<\/a> and their fantastic Camomile Cleansing Oil<\/a>. However, I hadn\u2019t tried many of their hair care products (until now) outside of their shampoo and conditioner range. So, this seemed like the perfect chance.<\/p>\n

Both of the products I\u2019ve been testing out have been totally new to me. One is a hydrating mask and the other is an intensive scrub. I\u2019ve really taken to both products and I\u2019m delighted to be sharing them with you today.<\/p>\n

Here are 2 hair treatments you have to try this winter:<\/h2>\n

Banana Truly Nourishing Hair Mask – \u00a312<\/h3>\n

I\u2019ve been\u00a0using this banana mask weekly<\/a>. It\u2019s a lovely addition to my Sunday evening routine It forces me to take 10 minutes to myself while I\u2019m waiting for it to work it\u2019s magic.<\/p>\n

As soon as you open up the pot it has a lovely scent of banana and the consistency is very creamy and thick. A little of the product goes a long way.<\/p>\n

I have long hair and tend to scoop out a big blob with a teaspoon. I\u2019ll then massage the mask into my scalp and through my hair. I take a little extra time to work it into my roots and ensure that all of my hair is covered with the mask.<\/p>\n

I leave the product in my hair for 5-10 minutes depending on how much time I have. I then rinse it out with warm water and leave my hair to style in the morning. I don\u2019t have to do as much with it as my hair becomes so smooth and silky after using the mask. It also leaves my hair with a lovely scent – not banana but slightly sweet and fruity.<\/p>\n

Fuji Green Tea Refreshingly Purifying Cleansing Hair Scrub – \u00a315<\/h3>\n

The concept of this hair scrub was totally new to me. I\u2019m a long-term user of hair masks but not scrubs. I love using body scrubs and when I realised that this is the same but for your hair I knew I was going to love it.<\/p>\n

The idea is to use the scrub in place<\/a> of your regular shampoo every couple of weeks or even just once a month.<\/p>\n

To use the scrub you must remember to give it a good mix with with a teaspoon. I take mine into the shower so that I can also use it to scoop the product out.<\/p>\n

I use a good dollop and work it into my scalp and over my hair. It has a lovely minty fresh scent which I find invigorating. I really enjoy using the scrub in the morning, the scent makes me feel ready to tackle the day.<\/p>\n

After using the scrub my hair is left feeling extra clean, much more so than normal and gives it a good silky and shiny feel.<\/p>\n

The scrub contains Japanese green tea, mint menthol, salt crystals and Community Trade honey from Ethiopia. It smells beautiful and the scent stays in my hair throughout the day.<\/p>\n

It works well for normal to oily hair. I\u2019d say mine falls between normal but dry at the ends. The aim of the product is to remove impurities like dust, sweat, styling products, city life and reduce build-up on within your hair. It also stimulates blood flow – make sure you give your scalp a good massage.<\/p>\n

So there you have it, 2 products which I\u2019ve really enjoyed adding into my hair-care routine. I can confirm that they\u2019ll both be firmly staying on my shelf and I\u2019m sure I\u2019ll be re-purchasing them again in the future. I\u2019ve got an idea of a couple of people who will enjoy receiving these as a gift this Christmas.<\/p>\n
