Thanks for the voucher L&amp;D!<\/p>\n<p>We went along to our local Sheffield branch on\u00a0Barker&#8217;s Pool for an early afternoon tea. The cafe was busy with people having late brunch, afternoon tea or coffee and cake. I&#8217;ve been to this branch a few times for breakfast which they always do really well.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Patisserie Valerie afternoon tea uk\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/daisyhatami\/45668208011\/in\/photostream\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1946\/45668208011_4d4764b165_b.jpg\" alt=\"Patisserie Valerie afternoon tea uk\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We settled down into a corner and ordered our afternoon tea. We had the option of picking between coffee or tea, we both opted for coffee.<\/p>\n<p>We didn&#8217;t have to wait long for our stand of treats to arrive.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Patisserie Valerie afternoon tea\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/daisyhatami\/44753771915\/in\/dateposted\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1976\/44753771915_a1b483f01a_b.jpg\" alt=\"Patisserie Valerie afternoon tea\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The bottom tier was filled with tiny finger sandwiches including cucumber, salmon and egg. I&#8217;m not sure why but these delicate little sandwiches with the crusts removed always taste so much better than anything I make at home.<\/p>\n<p>The middle tier was all about classic scones with jam and cream. There were 2 fruit and 2 plain scones. It was also really nice to spend some time with Phil at the weekend.
