It’s another baby-related post<\/a> from me today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t worry, there are a bunch of posts coming next week on a variety of topics. I have some particularly exciting Behind the Biz interviews<\/a> to share with you too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today I want to talk about the things I’ve noticed about myself since becoming a new mum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s not secret that I adore being a mum. I can’t imagine life without my baby boy. Don’t get me wrong, there are hard days and the nights can be long but it’s all so worth it. I’m blissfuly happy with where my life is right now and it feels really good to be able to say that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can’t quite believe it but I’m already 6 months into motherhood. Where has the time gone? The months have gone by way too fast, X is growing and changing each day and yet the journey is only just beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m excited for everything that is ahead of us but I’m trying very hard to live in the moment and enjoy each day as it comes. I look back at photos of X as a newborn most days. The amount he has changed in such a small space of time is mind-blowing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I recently shared my birth story,<\/a> It was very therapeutic for me to write and I know I’ll enjoy reading back on it. I plan to share lots of posts about motherhood here on PGT as well as sharing favourite baby products. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today I’m sharing a post that I’ve been adding to over the last few months. It’s a list of things that I’ve noticed about myself since becoming a mum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since becoming a mum…..<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have become more patient in all aspects of my life. It’s about time too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I notice the little things so much more than before. X loves shadows and light patterns so I find myself taking the time to appreciate them too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I refer to myself in the third person (Mummy’s going to put you into your snowsuit on and then we’re going for a walk)<\/em> and narrate almost everything I do. Apparently it’s good to talk to your baby as much as you can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I always follow my gut instinct. It’s true what they say about a mother’s intuition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I sing every day. For some reason I only seem to know Christmas songs, everything else I have to Google. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I listen to music each morning. I switch up the genres of music we listen to each day and find myself discovering new music all the time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I say everything twice. You know, just so he can hear the words and because sometimes I’m so tired that my narration skills are a little lax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I talk about poop most days. What was the colour? What about the consistency? When did he last poop? When you find yourself thinking that there hasn’t been a poop all day you’ll most likely be met with a poop explosion minutes later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I fall asleep when my head hits the pillow. This is fantastic. I used to sit in bed all night over-thinking and now there just isn’t any time. I’m super tired when I get into bed and I fall straight to sleep. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
