Hello everyone, here is part 3\u00a0of my Austria trip. This post is going to be about my visit to Salzburg. There wasn’t much snow on the ground so we decided to rent a car. On\u00a0Monday morning we picked our car up and headed off to Salzburg<\/a>\u00a0for the day. It\u00a0was about an hour away. There was a low\u00a0mist over the mountains, it was stunning. \u00a0I managed to take some snaps through the car window and I must say that I’m\u00a0quite pleased with the results. I really like how the mountains look, when I went to Italy<\/a> the other year it was very similar. It gives me the same feeling I get when I visit Iran.<\/div>\n

We spotted lots of beautiful castles\u00a0on our way ’round the mountains. I’d love to go back and visit some of them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The weather started to get a much colder during our drive to\u00a0Salzburg. Little did we know that it was a sign of things to come (more on that later<\/i>). Salzburg was stunning, there were lovely buildings, delightful coffee shops and lots of markets ’round each corner. You were never far from a cup of Gluehwein and that is just fine by me.<\/div>\n

I think lots of people come to Salzburg for a weekend of Christmas shopping and markets.\u00a0It felt very festive while we were there, the Christmas decorations were out and of course\u00a0the\u00a0Gluehwein gets you in the festive spirits.<\/div>\n

After hours of walking around and taking in the sights we stopped for a quick chai. We ended up eating at the main market in Salzburg, it’s always hard to decide what to eat at the\u00a0markets\u00a0as there are so many kinds of tasty foods available. I shared lots of photographs of the markets on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I really enjoyed my day in Salzburg, we ended it with a trip to Aldi to buy some yummy treats for our evening meal. I would like to go back to again and take my sister.\u00a0I think it would be nice to have the chance to explore it a little more as it is such a fantastic place.<\/div>\n
