After a little research I decided upon Bakewell which is a small market town in the Derbyshire Dales. It&#8217;s famed for its Bakewell tart, there are plenty of tea rooms and if you&#8217;re blessed with warm weather then sitting by the\u00a0River Wye and feeding the ducks is very relaxing.<\/p>\n<p>So, last Saturday morning Phil and I headed out early with a batch of my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prettygreentea.com\/2015\/07\/almond-butter-balls\">energy balls<\/a>, fresh mango and water. We took the bus to Bakewell (just over an hour) and it was such a beautiful journey. The morning had started off rainy and grim but half way through our journey the sun was shining bright. It was lovely to sit back and take in the beautiful countryside around us. When you&#8217;re self employed it&#8217;s all too easy to spend the weekend working and forget to take some real time for yourself. Unfortunately, they were away for a wedding so we went off in search of fresh salads. We quickly followed up lunch with ice cream from Ice Cream and Dreams which is laid out like a candy striped 50s milk bar. The ice cream is by M\u00f6venpick, one of my favourites. The mint and coffee are both delicious flavours and they have a good variety of sorbet too. If you&#8217;re passing by or happened to see\u00a0M\u00f6venpick elsewhere then you must try it.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Pink flowers\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/daisyhatami\/18959732983\/in\/photostream\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\" data-header=\"true\" data-footer=\"true\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/399\/18959732983_f841878b16_z.jpg\" alt=\"Pink flowers\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Bakewell\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/daisyhatami\/19393793099\/in\/photostream\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\" data-header=\"true\" data-footer=\"true\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3712\/19393793099_6d1a4a716d_z.jpg\" alt=\"Bakewell\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We had a good walk around Bakewell, explored the local shops and visited a tiny craft fair. We then headed out of the centre in search of the next town.
