In my 30 before 30 list of fun goals<\/a> I included the challenge of taking on as many courses as I can before hitting 30 next April. Some of the courses I’ve completed so far include B&W Fine Art Photography<\/a>, learning to use a sewing machine, Chef in the Cupboard at The Woodspeen<\/a> and Amie Atelier’s makeup class. I set myself this challenge because\u00a0I think it’s very important to always keep learning and developing upon your skills. You never know what doors they may open.<\/p>\n

When NCC Home Learning<\/a> got in contact to see if I’d like to sample one of their courses I was delighted.\u00a0NCC have a wide range of courses on their site but when I spotted the Life Coaching Diploma I knew I had to give it a try. It’s something I’ve thought about for a while and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Online courses are easy to fit in around your busy schedule. As much fun as attending a course at a local college or venue can be it’s not always possible for everyone.\u00a0I like to get involved with both online and offline courses throughout the year depending on my work schedule. I’m currently very busy with work so this fits in well with my schedule.<\/p>\n

One of the most important things to highlight about this course is that the interface is simple and easy to use. You’re supplied with login details when you start the course and you can dip in and out of the learning material in your own time. All modules are supplied in a PDF format which makes them easy to download, print off and read. I’ve been using the material straight from my laptop and iPad and then taking notes and answering questions within my notebook.<\/p>\n

I’ve currently made my way through the first 2 modules of the course. Both modules have been easy to read and understand. They’ve helped me to start thinking about myself, my passions and goals in a new way. So far I’ve realised that the start of this course is about learning to understand your own life<\/em> and the simple changes that can be made to improve it. The material then moves onto the key skills needed to guide and coach others. The course also goes in-depth about coaching styles and techniques in chapter 7<\/em> – I’m looking forward to this.<\/p>\n

I’ll be starting the third module<\/em> this week. It’s focused on the different areas of life coaching. I’m currently making a lot of positive changes and streamlining processes in my home, business and life so I know this module is going to be very useful.<\/p>\n
