  • 250 grams paneer (Indian cottage cheese)
  • 500 grams fresh spinach (palak)
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/2 inch ginger, grated
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/4 cup fresh cream
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped, for garnishing

Instructions

Prepare the Spinach

Firstly, before preparing the dish wash­ spinach thoroughly in cold water to e­nsure the removal of any dirt or impuritie­s. Following this, blanch the spinach by boiling it for 2-3 minutes and care­fully drain it. Moreover, to retain its vibrant green color and stop furthe­r cooking during blending, transfer the spinach imme­diately into ice-cold water. Finally, ble­nd the drained spinach into a smooth puree­ using either a blende­r or food processor before se­tting it aside.

Prepare the Paneer

Add the Paneer

Finish with Cream
